The Michigan Association of Professional Landmen, or MAPL,
is a nonprofit organization dedicated to continuing education. Current MAPL
members include individuals responsible for the acquisition, administration
and disposition of mineral and/or surface rights for petroleum exploration
and production companies, as well as related service and financial companies
in the energy industry.
MAPL was founded in 1965 and throughout the years continues to operate at
a high level of expertise and enthusiasm. Attendance at MAPL meetings offers
a chance to meet other land professionals, network, share thoughts and ideas
with other Landmen and keep up with current industry events and employment
opportunities. MAPL membership benefits include discounted rates to educational
seminars, dinners, golf outings, and an annual listing in the MAPL Membership
Directory and the Michigan Petroleum Directory.
Through regular seminars the MAPL provides sufficient recertification credits
for Certified Professional Landmen, Registered Professional Landmen and Registered
Landmen to maintain their status.
